Hearing Aids
Hearing aids are small discreet electronic devices that help people with hearing loss stay connected by improving communication with loved ones and making conversations clearer and easier. By amplifying sounds and enhancing the overall listening experience, hearing aids help individuals stay engaged in daily life, build confidence, and enjoy a better quality of life. They have already transformed the lives of millions by boosting confidence and quality of life.
What are the benefits?
Improved Communication – Hearing aids amplify sounds and reduce background noise, making it easier to understand conversations, even in challenging listening environments like busy restaurants, social gatherings, or meetings. By improving clarity and volume, they help people stay connected, communicate confidently, and enjoy activities like watching TV or chatting with loved ones without straining to hear.
Better Quality of Life – Reduces feelings of isolation and frustration caused by hearing difficulties. Individuals may feel more confident in social interactions, improving their overall well-being and mental health.
Prevent Further Hearing Loss –When hearing loss is not addressed, the brain can lose its ability to process sounds effectively. Wearing hearing aids helps keep the brain active by ensuring it continues to receive and process sounds clearly. By making speech and everyday sounds easier to hear, hearing aids help maintain the brain’s ability to understand conversations, reducing the risk of losing important listening and comprehension skills over time.
Enhanced Cognitive Function – Studies show that treating hearing loss with hearing aids can help reduce the risk of cognitive decline and dementia.
Better awareness of surroundings – Hearing aids can help individuals hear important environmental sounds like alarms, sirens, and vehicles, which is crucial for safety in daily life.
Personalized Sound Experience – Hearing aids are highly personalized devices that can be carefully fitted and programmed to match each person’s unique hearing loss and lifestyle needs. It’s important for hearing aids to be adjusted by a professional to ensure they provide the right amount of amplification and settings for different listening environments. A well-fitted hearing aid helps people hear clearly where it matters most — whether it’s at home, at work, or out with family and friends.
Who is a candidate?
Anyone experiencing difficulty hearing, whether it’s due to age-related hearing loss, noise exposure, genetics, or other causes, may be a good candidate for hearing aids. A hearing evaluation by an audiologist is necessary to determine the type and extent of hearing loss and to find the most appropriate solution. If you are concerned about hearing loss, please schedule an appointment with one of our providers for an evaluation and a hearing test, performed on the same day as your office visit.
How can I purchase hearing aids?
Taking the first step toward better hearing is easy and can make a big difference in your daily life. Hearing aids are an important tool, but it’s even more important to have the guidance and support of an audiologist who can help you find the right solution and adjust it to your unique needs.
The first step is to schedule a hearing test and then come in for a complimentary hearing aid orientation to explore options that fit your unique needs. If you’ve already had a hearing test in the past six months and have a copy of your results, you can jump right in by booking an orientation.
If you decide to move forward with hearing aids after your orientation, you’ll receive a 30-day trial period to make sure they’re the right fit for you. This trial gives you time to get comfortable using your new devices, learn how they work, and allow your audiologist to adjust and fine-tune them to match your unique hearing needs. During this time, you’ll have follow-up visits with your audiologist for support, guidance, and any needed adjustments — so you can feel confident and get the most benefit from your hearing aids.
Our goal is to help you find the best solution so you can hear clearly, stay connected, and enjoy life to the fullest.
